Orion Books

A series of book covers in response to the D and AD H.G. Wells brief. The concept is that the jackets come off to reveal an extract from the book, which acts as a hidden moral/message from the book. A nice little suprise. This was awarded D&AD In Book.

Salmon magazine

Salmon magazine is a magazine gravitated around alternative culture. The articles explore communities with a fresh angle, looking at the individuals with witty optimism whilst maintaining a rather gritty viewpoint. The defining sentence of Salmon is ‘swimming against the mainstream’. The aesthetic of the magazine is a strong black and white photographic style, which contrasts with all of the articles, being isolated to a salmon pink inlay. Collaboration of Nick Dady, Stephen Ball, Ryan Van Kesteren, Paul Moffatt and myself.

Two Halves

A publication that focuses on the topic of Football firms and rivalries. The study looks specifically at the Old Firm in Scotland, Superclasico in Argentina and the Derby della Capitale in Italy - three of the fiercest rivalries from around the globe. The book is bound with a football lace, which represents how the fans in the firms are brought together by the sport. Large scale photographs of the rivalry in Buenos Aires kindly supplied by Argentinian photographer Hernan Zenteno.

Staycation

A Roses 2010 project which gained a commendation. The brief was to promote the British holiday to British people. This is a 7 day mailer campaign aimed at awakening people to what is on their doorstep. The staggered sending of these mailers is designed to give a sense of time therefore a notion of what you could do with a week long holiday in Britain. The concept is based around the idea that there is a certain part of Britain for everyone to find, ‘Find yourself on holiday in Britain’. After the initial point of contact each mailer comes through the door as a surprise, highlighting different aspects which could potentially be a part of your holiday. Collaborative project with Ryan Van Kesteren.
